We just returned from Dwell on Design and enjoyed checking out the latest products in design. We were also there to support our Cheng Collection designer, Fu-Tung Cheng, who received an award for Best Design Material at the show. Below is a quick recap of our favorite products and the top trends from the design community!
Modular Homes and Furniture: There continues to be a big trend with designers bringing the outdoors inside. There were a lot of creative booth spaces showcasing outdoor products, lighting, “green” modular homes, and the outdoor living section was packed with designers testing out the latest furniture, products, etc.
Lightopia showcased modern and colorful lighting for the home and Cerno received the award for best lighting product at the show.
IndoTeak showcased their contemporary, 100% reclaimed teak and Stikwood gives the illusion of wood with adhesive paneling.
Zephyr Cheng Collection designer, Fu-Tung Cheng, launched a new product – ShapeCrete. The product received the Award for Best Design Material and there was a great response to the new product and Fu-Tung gave live demonstrations. “Plays like clay, works like concrete!”
We saw a lot of mixed metallics and black appliances – such as Dacor’s new metallic finishes and KitchenAid’s black mixer.
Haier launched its new Urban Kitchens Solutions, which are freestanding and built-in kitchens designed for kitchens in urban condos, small houses and micro-spaces.
Thanks for reading! Looking forward to Dwell on Design 2016!
