Cheers to a Great Year!

We celebrated the holidays with our staff earlier this month at our annual Zephyr Holiday Party in our SF Showroom. The one thing that I am personally thankful for is our dedicated staff. We would not be the company we are today without them. This year, we recognized two employees that have been with Zephyr for 10 years: Gil Ligh and Jeremy Snider. Every single Zephyr employee contributes to the company’s success and as I look back and reflect on 2013, I must say “Thank You” to all of you. Happy New Year and cheers to a prosperous 2014!

– Luke Siow, Zephyr President

AetherSF: Sustainable architecture meets sportswear

We discovered AetherSF while walking through Hayes Valley in San Francisco and also saw them at Dwell on Design, so we thought we’d share some pics of their super cool, sustainable space. The company creates clothing by utilizing technical fabrics in a sophisticated form with a refined modern aesthetic.

The first-ever stand alone store in SF is a concept space that’s constructed from three  8′ x 9.6′ x 40′ recycled shipping containers and features a custom glass-encased lounge, reclaimed oak floors, and a belt-driven “dry-cleaner” style conveyor system. We love how all construction work was sourced locally in San Francisco.

We’d love to know, are there any buildings in your city that combine sustainable design with modern architecture?
