The Rue House at Serenbe
Redefining Sustainable Living with Connection, Nature, and Well-Being
Zephyr partnered with Rue Magazine to bring innovation and style to the 2024 Serenbe Showhouse. Nestled in the picturesque, biophilic community of Serenbe just outside Atlanta, the neighborhood embodies “new urbanism,” blending sustainable living, a deep connection to nature, and a strong sense of well-being.

Designed by Atlanta’s renowned Mister + Mrs Sharp, the home features a Zephyr Monsoon I Insert in the kitchen, Presrv® Outdoor Beverage Cooler and Outdoor Kegerator & Beverage Cooler in the backyard.

Meet The Designers: Mister + Mrs Sharp
Patrick and Meghan envisioned the home as a warm, sophisticated place for a modern family to live and play. It’s designed to foster connections — with people and nature.
“We set out to create beautiful spaces to gather with friends and cozy spaces to rest,” says Patrick. “Serenbe is a vibrant community with active neighbors who enjoy a full social calendar. This house allows for adults and children alike to enjoy indoor and outdoor activities in beauty.”
Nestled in the picturesque Chattahoochee Hills, just outside Atlanta, Georgia, you’ll find the enchanting community of Serenbe. This unique neighborhood stands as a global benchmark for sustainable development, boasting a design-forward, art-infused, and food-focused ethos that captivates residents and visitors alike. Serenbe isn’t just a place to live; it’s a lifestyle. This vibrant community prioritizes environmental stewardship while enhancing the quality of life through its beautiful surroundings and rich amenities.

In 2022, Rue made its mark on Serenbe by constructing the first showhouse in this imaginative enclave. With its design-conscious residents, it was the perfect canvas to showcase an array of premier brands—from furniture and lighting to tiles and appliances. Behind this beautiful vision were Patrick and Meghan Sharp, affectionately known as Mister and Mrs. Sharp. Their talent and creativity brought together the stunning aesthetics and practical details that make this property truly special.
What sets this particular home apart is the absence of traditional client constraints. Without a wish list or specific requirements, Patrick and Meghan had the incredible opportunity to design a dream home unfettered by limitations. This artistic freedom allowed for the exploration of innovative ideas and sophisticated design elements, leading to a standout property that speaks to the discerning tastes of Rue readers and Serenbe residents alike.
The craftsmanship of the home is attributed to Vincent Longo of Longo Custom Builders. With 25 years of experience and a stellar reputation in the Serenbe community, Longo’s attention to detail and commitment to excellence shine through in every facet of the design and build process. Each square foot of the house reflects a careful blend of luxury and practical living that defines contemporary elegance.

A highlight of the home is the kitchen, which strikes the perfect balance between opulence and a laid-back vibe. Featuring the sleek Zephyr Monsoon I Insert, the kitchen not only serves as a culinary haven but also embodies the cool, sophisticated atmosphere of the entire home. Cooking and entertaining become delightful experiences in a space that is as functional as it is stylish.
Outdoor living is taken to new heights in this remarkable property. The outdoor spaces are tastefully adorned with beautiful furniture from Arhaus, creating inviting settings for both relaxation and entertainment. Whether enjoying morning coffee or hosting evening gatherings, the outdoor areas are designed to enhance the Serenbe lifestyle. Comfort is a priority, thanks to overhead Big Ass Fans that ensure guests stay cool and comfortable in any weather.
Additionally, the outdoor entertaining area features a Presrv™ Outdoor Beverage Cooler and an Outdoor Kegerator & Beverage Cooler from Zephyr, providing easy access to refreshing drinks at all times. This thoughtful integration of amenities fosters a seamless indoor-outdoor living experience that residents cherish.
In this magical corner of Georgia, the collaboration between Rue, Patrick and Meghan Sharp, and Vincent Longo has birthed a home that transcends mere architecture. It is a testament to the beauty of creativity and sustainability, making it a shining example of what can be achieved when great minds come together. The home reflects the heart of Serenbe — a vibrant community where nature, art, and thoughtful design exist in harmony.
