SAN FRANCISCO — Zephyr Ventilation, the industry leader in range hood design, innovation and technology, updates three of its Power Series models: Typhoon, Hurricane, and Cyclone Under-Cabinet hoods with sleek design and enhanced performance. Available in stainless steel, black, and white, the Power Series hoods can complement any kitchen décor such as modern, transitional, and professional-style.

One of the founding models and a Consumers Digest “Best Buy”, Typhoon is a stylish under-cabinet hood that is a leading model in Zephyr’s Power Series Collection. The new updates include a smooth front curvature with a powerful 850 CFM blower that can handle the toughest cooking jobs over professional-style ranges.

In addition, Typhoon’s Quiet Speed Setting gives the user the option to set the hood to a minimum of 0.9 sones, which is the most silent under cabinet range hood on the market with an 850 CFM blower. Dimmable halogen lights provide a soft glow over the cooktop at night and with its 6-speed Capacitive Touch Controls and Auto-Delay Off function, the user can focus on cooking and let the Typhoon handle the rest.

The Typhoon and Hurricane feature the industry’s first Airflow Control Technology (ACT ™); an exclusive technology that gives the installer freedom to set the maximum CFM to accommodate local make-up air codes without compromising design.

All three hoods feature Zephyr’s convenient self-cleaning function that includes filter-less centrifugal blowers designed to separate and expel cooking vapors from the air while trapping grease in a residue tray. A cleaning agent can be sprayed directly into the blower wheel to break up residue and grease, which then drains into dishwasher safe residue cups.
