Zephyr Introduces First Black Stainless Steel Island Hood
Ravenna Island Hood Features Delicate Curves, Innovative Technology, and Powerful Performance
SAN FRANCISCO, April, 2018 – Zephyr, the company that has transformed the kitchen through design, discovery and care, introduces its first Black Stainless Steel island hood. Ravenna Island combines a sleek aesthetic with innovative features and technology, and a smoke-gray glass canopy that delicately curves over the island cooktop. Zephyr now has the most diverse Black Stainless Steel hood offering on the market with a selection of wall, under-cabinet, and island hoods.
Ravenna Island is designed with an anti-smudge titanium coating for extra durability and easy cleaning. Solid Titanium is transported on the stainless steel through a Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) process that makes it more uniform and durable than a traditional coating process. The PVD process is also an eco-friendly technology (in contrast to chemical and galvanic surface treatments) that is clean and dry with no hazardous materials involved, and does not generate chemical waste or water pollution.

Ravenna Island also includes Zephyr’s Airflow Control Technology™ (ACT™); an exclusive technology that gives the installer freedom to set the maximum CFM to accommodate local make-up air codes without compromising design.
